How to request an accessible version of content from U.S. Congressional Serial Set

Text Explorer is integrated into the Readex platform and enhances accessibility by converting image‑based historical documents into machine‑readable text. Text is created using OCR technology, so accuracy may vary depending on font styles and the condition of the original materials. To use Text Explorer in the Congressional Serial Set, open a document and select Explore from the toolbar (in the right-hand corner).
This opens the document using Voyant textual analysis tools.
The text may be exported as plain text by choosing Download from the bottom of the page with the Document selected.
The vendor does not offer remediation services directly. To obtain an accessible version of the content, please work with UM ATS.
