Q. As an alumni, how do I use the library's online resources?

Library databases are only available from off-campus to current faculty, staff, and students with a NetID. The library is unable to assign remote use privileges to alumni or others due to limitations imposed by the vendors we sign license agreements with. You are welcome to use the resources as a walk-in user at the library if it's practical for you or as a guest user of the wireless network on campus.

OneSearch is available for anyone to search, but access to content (such as an ebook or article) from off-campus is limited by a NetID. Note that a Montana borrower username/password will not grant access to online materials. Walk-in use (as described above) is an option for these online materials.

Open access resources available in OneSearch are the major exception to the rule, as they do not require a NetID. The system provides a vast quantity of freely accessible publications from a multitude of sources. Select the Open Access availability facet in OneSearch to limit your results to free resources available without a NetID.
