Q. Why do books from other libraries show up in OneSearch?

Answer

OneSearch is a collaborative effort with 17+ academic libraries in Montana. When there's something you want that we (Mansfield Library + Payne Family Library at Missoula College + the law library) don't have (or if our copy is checked out) you can see if any of our collaborative partners do have it! From OneSearch, you can request that item from the other institution and it will be sent to the University of Montana for you to use. For example, this book Don't make me think by Steve Krug:

book that says check physical availability

It says Check Physical Availability and once you click on the title it will show you other institutions that own a copy if we don't:

After logging in with your NetID and password, a request form will appear:

You will be notified via your university email when the item you requested is ready to be picked up.
